OVERVIEWThis tour is composed to let travellers experience the scenic nature spots Iceland has to offer. Explore dramatic landscapes and some of the world’s finest waterfalls like Gullfoss and Goðafoss. Visit erupting geysers in the great Geysir hot spring area, Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site. Enjoy Vatnajökull glacier, Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon and many other unique places. |

Day 1: ARRIVAL IN ICELAND
Arrival in Iceland. If time allows go for a exploration walk around Reykjavík.
Overnight in Reykjavík in one of our 3-star hotels.
Day 2: WHALE FJORD AND SAGA VALLEY
Explore the valley of Borgarfjörður with its waterfalls, hot springs and historic sites. Visit Europe´s most powerful hot spring Deildartunguhver.
Spend the night in one of our hotels in West Iceland.
Day 3: SKAGAFJÖRÐUR AND GLAUBÆR TURF FARM
On your way up north, stop at the historical site Glaumbær turf farm. Upon arrival at Akureyri, explore the town which is called the capital of North Iceland. Goðafoss, the waterfall of the gods is not far away.
Spend two nights in our hotels in North Iceland.
Day 4: AKUREYRI AND MÝVATN AREA
Explore Akureyri, the capital of north Iceland, and Goðafoss, the waterfall of the gods. Explore the sights at lake Mývatn. An optional evening whale watching tour is available from Húsavík (June-August).
Day 5: DETTIFOSS WATERFALL
Drive around Tjörnes peninsula and visit Europe’s most powerful waterfall, Dettifoss (mid June to August) and proceed further to the east.
Overnight in Fosshotel Eastfjords.
Day 6: EAST FJORDS OF ICELAND
Spend the morning travelling along the coastline of Lagarfljót river. Stop in Hallormsstaður, where Iceland’s largest forest is located. Proceed further south whilst enjoying your ride along the scenic East fjords. Stop in Höfn before proceeding further along Vatnajökull glacier. Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon is there to impress you.
Overnight in one of our hotels in Vatnajökull region.
Day 7: WONDERS OF SOUTH ICELAND
Drive along the south coast and witness many natural wonders such a black lava beaches, waterfalls and glaciers.
Stay in Fosshotel Hekla or similar.
Day 8: GULLFOSS WATERFALL AND GEYSIR HOT SPRING AREA
Visit Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot spring area in Haukadalur and Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site.
Overnight in Reykjavík in one of our 3-star hotels.
Day 9: DEPART FOR HOME
If time allows: Enjoy Reykjavík or explore the Reykjanes Peninsula with a stop at the famous Blue Lagoon for relaxtion.
