Day 1: ARRIVAL IN ICELAND
Arrival in Iceland. If time allows, go for an exploration walk around Reykjavík.
Overnight in Reykjavík in one of our 3-star hotels.
Day 2: BORGARFJÖRÐUR AND THE SAGAS
Explore the valley of Borgarfjörður with its waterfalls, hot springs and historic sites. Visit Europe´s most powerful hot spring Deildartunguhver.
Spend the night in one of our hotels in West Iceland.
Day 3: SIGHTS OF NORTH WEST ICELAND
On your way up north, stop at the historical site Glaumbær turf farm. Upon arrival at Akureyri, explore the town which is called the capital of North Iceland. Goðafoss, the waterfall of the gods is not far away.
Spend the night in one of our hotels in North Iceland.
Day 4: POWERFUL DETTIFOSS WATERFALL
Drive on Tjörnes peninsula and visit Europe’s most powerful waterfall, Dettifoss (mid June to August). Take your time to discover the sights at lake Mývatn and the nearby hot spring areas. Whilst proceeding to the east, you should pass a vast wasteland.

Day 5:EAST FJORDS OF ICELAND
Drive along the scenic fjords of east Iceland and enjoy the small town of Höfn. Explore the Vatnajökull glacier, Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon and Skaftafell National Park.

Day 6: NATURAL WONDERS
Drive along the south coast and witness many natural wonders such as black lava beaches, waterfalls and glaciers. The folk museum at Skógar is well worth a visit, it is close to the impressive Skogarfoss waterfall.
Overnight in Fosshotel Hekla or similar.
Day 7: GULLFOSS WATERFALL AND GEYSIR HOT SPRING AREA
Your first stop should be at Þingvellir national park, a UNESCO world heritage site. The park rests in a valley created by the power of the apartdrifting tectonic plates. Keep on driving to Haukadalur hot spring area where you will see several hot springs, the most active being the geysir Strokkur, which erupts every 10 minutes. The next stop is the Gullfoss waterfall (golden waterfall). This waterfall falls in two cascades into a narrow and deep gorge. Further on, you can visit the church and historical site of Skálholt before heading on to the volcanic crater Kerið.

Day 8: DEPART FOR HOME
If time allows: Enjoy Reykjavík, or explore the Reykjanes Peninsula with a stop at the famous Blue Lagoon for relaxtion.
