Day 1: ARRIVAL IN ICELAND
Arrival in Iceland. If time allows, go for an exploration walk around Reykjavík. Book an optional Northern lights tour at your hotel.
Overnight in Reykjavík in one of our 3-star-hotels.
Day 2: GOLDEN CIRCLE
Drive via the golden circle to the south. You will visit the golden waterfall, Gullfoss, the Geysir hot springs and Þingvellir National Park, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check in at Fosshotel Hekla for two nights.
Day 3: ÞJÓRSÁRDALUR
Explore Þjórsárdalur valley and its stunning waterfall Hjalpafoss as well as the viking ruins of Stöng. Enjoy the oasis Gjáin with its green surroundings and the exhilarant waterfalls.
Day 4: SOUTH COAST
Travel along the South coast and see the magnificent waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógarfoss. Visit the black Sand beach at Vik before heading to Fosshotel Núpar where you spend two nights.
Day 5: SKAFTAFELL NATIONAL PARK
Spend your day at the Skaftafell National Park. Go for a guided hike on one of the glaciers. And try yourself in ice climbing.
Visit the glacier lagoon Jökulsárlón and see enormous icebergs floating around. If you are lucky you might see some seals resting on the icebergs.
Day 6: SKÓGAR WATERFALL AND FOLK MUSEUM
Drive along the scenic south coast back to the west. On your way you stop in Skógar and visit the popular folk museum. Overnight your last two nights in Reykjavík one of our 3-star-hotels..
Day 7: REYKJANES PENINSULA
Continue your exploration of south Iceland on the Reykjanes Peninsula and stop at the famous Blue Lagoon. The geothermal areas Gunnuhver and Krýsuvík on the peninsula are well worth the visit as well as the picturesque Kleifarvatn lake. You don´t want to miss the chance to cross between the two continents of Europe and North America on the bridge between continents.
Day 8: DEPART FOR HOME
If time allows: Enjoy Reykjavík or explore the Reykjanes Peninsula with a stop at the famous Blue Lagoon for relaxation.
