Day 1: ARRIVAL IN ICELAND
Arrival in Iceland. If time allows, go for an exploration walk around Reykjavík.
Overnight in Reykjavík in one of our 3-star hotels..
Day 2: GEYSIR HOT SPRING AREA AND THINGVELLIR NATIONAL PARK
Visit Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot spring area in Haukadalur and Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site.
Stay 3 nights in Fosshotel Hekla or similar.
Day 3: ICELAND´S SOUTH COAST
Take a tour along the south coast to visit the saga museum at Hvolsvöllur, Skógafoss waterfall and turf farm as well as the endless black sand beach at the town of Vík.
Day 4: REYKJANES PENINSULA OR ÞJÓRSÁRDALUR VALLEY
Continue your exploration of south Iceland on the Reykjanes Peninsula and stop at the famous Blue Lagoon. The geothermal areas Gunnuhver and Krýsuvík on the peninsula are well worth the visit as well as the picturesque Kleifarvatn lake. Don´t miss out on Þjórsárdalur valley which has a lot to offer.
Day 5: BORGARFJÖRÐUR
Drive west today and explore the valley of Borgarfjörður with its waterfalls, hot springs and historic sites.
Stay 2 nights in one of our hotels in West Iceland.
Day 6: SNÆFELLSNES PENINSULA
Explore Snæfellsnes peninsula with its snow capped volcano, stunning coastline, lava fields and bird colonies.
Day 7: REYKJAVÍK
Drive back to Reykjavík and take a detour via the beautiful Hvalfjörður bay. Explore Iceland’s capital or drive further west and take a bath in the famous Blue Lagoon.
Overnight in Reykjavík in one of our 3-star-hotels.
Day 8: DEPART FOR HOME
If time allows: Enjoy Reykjavík, or explore the Reykjanes Peninsula with a stop at the famous Blue Lagoon for relaxtion.
