The Western part of Iceland is a spectacular area. Snæfellsnes peninsula is famous for its glacier, Snæfellsjökull mentioned by Jules Verne in his novel "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and the countless islands in the  Breiðafjörður bay with its colourful bird and sea life. The area has an interesting folklore and tales of adventure as many of the Icelandic sagas took place in the area.




  • Snaefellsnes peninsula with its glacier, lava fields and bird colonies
  • Boat tour on Breiðafjörður fjord to see puffins and other birdlife
  • Visit the popular Saga Settlement Centre in Borgarfjordur
  • Reykjanes peninsula and the famous Blue Lagoon
    Arrival in Iceland. If time allows, go for an exploration walk around Reykjavík.
    Overnight in Reykjavík in one of our 3-star hotels.

    Explore the scenic Whale fjord and the valley of Borgarfjörður. Stop at Europe´s most powerful hot spring, Deildartunguhver.
    Stay two nights in our hotels in West Iceland.

    Spend the moring to discover Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls, known for their stunning natural beauty. Proceed onwards to Húsafell area and go for a hike in the amazing landscape. 
    In the afternoon drive south to the coast of Snæfellsnes peninsula and explore the spatter ring crater Eldborg as well as the seal colony in Ytri-Tunga.

    Explore in the morning the village of  Stykkisholmur, a pretty fishing village with numerous old houses, visit the famous and unique exhibition Library of water.
    Travel back to Reykjavík. Make a pit stop in Borgarnes and visit the popular Saga Settlement Centre.
    Overnight in Reykjavík in one of our 3 star hotels.

    If time allows: Enjoy Reykjavík, or explore the Reykjanes Peninsula with a stop at the famous Blue Lagoon for relaxation.
