Day 1: ARRIVAL IN ICELAND
Arrival in Iceland. If time allows, go for an exploration walk around Reykjavík.
Overnight in Reykjavík in one of our 3-star hotels.
Day 2: SNÆFELLSNES PENINSULA
Explore the scenic Whale fjord and the valley of Borgarfjörður. Proceed further on to Snæfelsnes peninsula with its snow capped volcano, stunning coastline, lava fields and bird colonies.
Overnight one of our hotels in West Iceland.
Day 3: SOUTHERN WEST FJORDS
Take your time driving along the southern coast of the west fjords which will take you to the town of Patreksfjörður. Prepare to be impressed by the high mountains, magnificent fjords and the sparkling blue seawater.
Spend the night at Fosshotel Westfjords.
Day 4: DYNJANDI WATERFALL AND ÍSAFJÖRÐUR
In the morning drive to Látrabjarg where you can view a large bird colonie, the birds in their natural surroundings. You might also get to see the Puffin. Get ready to be impressed by the stunning fjords while travelling north in this peninsula. Stop at Iceland´s most beautiful waterfall, Dynjandifoss. You will pass several small villages until you reach the capital of the west fjords, Ísafjörður.
Stay here for one night in a same category hotel as Fosshotel.
Day 5: NORTHERN WEST FJORDS
Leave the west fjords today. Drive along the picturesque fjords in the northern peninsula back to the main road. Keep on driving due south.
Overnight in Búðardalur / Fellströnd area in a same category hotel as Fosshotel.
Day 6: BORGARNES AND HÚSAFELL
Start the day with a visit at the Hraunfossar waterfalls and Húsafell where you will find a lovely out doors swimming pool. Take a break and gaze at the powerful hot spring Deildaratunga afterwards.
Overnight in Reykjavík in one of our 3-star hotels.
Day 8: DEPART FOR HOME
If time allows: Enjoy Reykjavík, or explore the Reykjanes Peninsula with a stop at the famous Blue Lagoon for relaxation.
