Íslandshótel Receives the Höfuðkraftur Award 2025
We’re excited to share that Íslandshótel has received the Höfuðkraftur Award, issued by the Capital Region Marketing Office (Visit Reykjavík) for the first time at the Capital Region Tourism Conference on September 16, 2025.
The award was presented by Þórdís Lóa Þórhallsdóttir (Chair of the Board) and Inga Hlín Pálsdóttir (Managing Director) of the Capital Region Marketing Agency; Davíð Torfi Ólafsson, CEO of Íslandshótel, accepted it on the company’s behalf.
The Höfuðkraftur Award recognizes a tourism company that has, through its policies and actions, strengthened the tourism industry in the Capital Region and made a positive contribution to the local environment and communities. The award highlights the importance of tourism and its role in the positive development of society in the Capital Region.
The award announcement notes that Íslandshótel is a driving force in the Capital Region’s tourism industry and a widely recognized recipient of numerous awards, owing to its strong emphasis on sustainable development, employee well-being, and positive relations with the communities.
