From 1 September 2026, Reykjavík Natura will operate under the name Hotel Reykjavík Askja.
From 1 September 2026, Íslandshótel will begin operating the hotel on Nauthólsvegur. The hotel will become part of the Hotel Reykjavík brand, offering comfortable accommodation for guests visiting the capital, travelling within Iceland, or seeking convenient facilities for meetings and events.
Located close to Öskjuhlíð, Nauthólsvík, and Reykjavík Domestic Airport, the hotel is well suited for individual travellers, groups, and businesses alike.

We understand that the upcoming changes in the hotel operation may raise questions for guests who have existing reservations or are planning to visit in the near future.

Íslandshótel will begin operating the hotel on 1 September 2026. Until then, the hotel will continue to operate under its current management.
Hotel Reykjavík Askja is located at Nauthólsvegur 52 in Reykjavík, close to Öskjuhlíð, Nauthólsvík, Reykjavík University, and Reykjavík Domestic Airport.
Bookings for arrivals from 1 September 2026 onwards will be available soon through Íslandshótel website. Further information will be published here and through relevant sales channels once the booking process has been finalised.
Íslandshótel's goal is to assist guests with confirmed bookings for arrivals from 1 September 2026 onwards to the best of our ability. Information is currently being reviewed, and we are therefore unable to confirm the status of individual bookings until sufficient data is available.
As preparations are ongoing, we ask guests to retain their booking confirmation, booking reference number, payment receipt, and any other correspondence related to their reservation. If the booking was made through a travel agency, booking platform, or another third party, it is also important to contact that provider regarding the status of the booking, changes, or cancellations.
If you have concerns about your booking for an arrival from 1 September 2026 onwards, you are welcome to send us your booking details and we will do our utmost to assist.
At this stage, Íslandshótel can confirm individual bookings once the relevant information has been reviewed. To allow us to look into your reservation, please send your booking confirmation, booking reference number, guest name, arrival and departure dates, details of where the booking was made, and copies of any relevant correspondence.
Rates, terms, and booking conditions will be reviewed based on the information available for each reservation. Our aim is to assist guests with confirmed bookings as effectively as possible once the relevant details have been received and reviewed.
New reservations made after Íslandshótel opens bookings may be subject to new rates, terms, and payment conditions.
Changes and cancellations are subject to the terms and conditions that applied when the booking was made. If the reservation was made through a travel agency, booking platform, or another sales channel, you must contact that provider directly.

Existing brands, including Natura Spa and Satt Restaurant, are not included in the transfer of operations. New names and further information about these services will be announced soon.
Gift vouchers and credits issued by the previous operator do not automatically become the responsibility of Íslandshótel. Holders of such vouchers are asked to contact the original issuer for information regarding validity periods and applicable terms and conditions.
