Íslandshótel will assume operation of the hotel on 1 September 2026, from which date it will operate as Hotel Reykjavík Askja. Until then, the hotel continues to operate as Reykjavík Natura under its current management.
Hotel Reykjavík Askja is a well-located four-star hotel in the green and peaceful surroundings of Öskjuhlíð. Nauthólsvík geothermal beach, Perlan, Reykjavík University and Reykjavík Domestic Airport are all nearby, while Reykjavík city centre is also within easy reach.
The hotel offers 220 rooms, extensive meeting and conference facilities, Lauf Bistro, a bar, spa and fitness facilities. It is therefore equally well suited to individual travellers, families, groups and businesses seeking comfortable accommodation and convenient facilities close to the city centre.
Íslandshótel will assume operation of the hotel on 1 September 2026. Reservations made through Íslandshótel are therefore available for arrivals from that date onwards.
Accommodation
Hotel Reykjavík Askja offers 220 comfortable rooms in a variety of sizes, ranging from standard rooms to spacious suites. The rooms are well equipped and suited to both short city breaks and longer stays. All rooms include a private bathroom, television, complimentary Wi-Fi, tea and coffee-making facilities, a mini-cooler, work desk and in-room safe.

We are working to review and confirm reservations made with the previous operator for arrivals from 1 September 2026 onwards.
Guests should retain their booking confirmation, reservation number, payment receipt and any other documentation relating to the booking. Where a reservation was made through a travel agency, booking platform or another third party, guests should also contact that provider directly.
To request a review of your reservation, please send your booking confirmation and relevant details to askja@hotelreykjavik.is.
At this stage, Íslandshótel can confirm individual bookings once the relevant information has been reviewed. To allow us to look into your reservation, please send your booking confirmation, booking reference number, guest name, arrival and departure dates, details of where the booking was made, and copies of any relevant correspondence.
Rates, terms, and booking conditions will be reviewed based on the information available for each reservation. Our aim is to assist guests with confirmed bookings as effectively as possible once the relevant details have been received and reviewed.
New reservations made after Íslandshótel opens bookings may be subject to new rates, terms, and payment conditions.
Changes and cancellations remain subject to the terms and conditions that applied when the reservation was made. If the booking was made through a travel agency, booking platform or another sales provider, please contact that provider directly.

Íslandshótel gift vouchers are valid in accordance with the terms stated at the time of purchase. Bookable stays at Hotel Reykjavík Askja are available from 1 September 2026.
Gift vouchers and credits issued by the previous operator do not automatically become the responsibility of Íslandshótel. Holders of these vouchers should contact the original issuer regarding their validity and applicable terms.
